Some Aspects of Travel
by Rudyard Kipling
The book brings together two lectures (text with accompanying English translation), given to the Royal Geographical Society by the writer. In the first of these the writer expresses his nostalgia for a way of travel which was disappearing and his fear that the scents experienced in countries visited, beginning with the smells of food and spices, would soon be smothered by the ever - present odour of fuel. Unpublished.
